Born and brought up in a mediocre Bengali family aswell as married to one, it is not easy to dream, speciallyto get recognition as a painter, even with inspiringparents. Our primary duty becomes earning our livingsand serving our beloveds, even if a childhood passionneeds to be scuttled. This, is what happened to me for almost fortyodd years when I almost abandoned the passion forart that was something which demanded more timeand devotion. When you are devoted to a form of art,itproduces spectacular results.During the lockdown period I opened my drawing book once more and started paintingagain, obviously performing all duties more or lesssuccessfully to my family and workplace. I amparticularly interested in High Renaissance periodpaintings of Italian Maestros. Michelangelo and Leonardo fascinates me like magicians do to a child. I am interested in this exhibition becauseI longed for a platform to be recognised,identified andremembered. I AM HAPPY THAT I DARED TO DREAM AGAIN.
